If your insurance is not listed above but your current insurance plan offers Out-of-Network (OON) benefits, we can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Note: You will be charged upfront for services and payment is expected in full at time of service. Also, most Medicaid and Medicare plans do NOT offer OON benefits, but it is worth asking about!

Finding the right therapist is a little bit like dating around. Thinking about it in these terms, you not only want a provider who is well-versed in your condition, but someone you really “click” with!
This is why we offer a free 15-minute consultation call. We don’t just explain the treatment program to you and go over costs. We chat a bit and you’ll hear a bit about me and I’ll hear a bit about you!
If the vibes are vibing, and you’re onto the intake stage, there are still some important questions to ask the provider during your intake session such as:
How do you feel people heal? What, in your mind, is suffering and how do we manage it? Have you ever worked with someone with my condition before? Are you comfortable working with someone from the ____ community? You can even ask your provider more personal questions such as their religious or political beliefs!
These are those questions that really let you know if your values and core beliefs are going to match.
We truly believe healing happens when you feel safe and supported.

You can find our contact form under the “contact” tab. These messages go directly to Melissa Roark, MA, LPCC and no where else. You can also text 513-280-2373 with a short message and return contact number. Both methods are safe and encrypted, but we cannot guarantee total confidentiality via text messaging, so please do not provide any Personal Health Information (PHI) when leaving your message. Using the contact form or texting will get a more prompt response than calling and leaving a message. You are still welcome to call us at 513-280-2373, 24/7.

Since the cost of services is per session rather than a subscription model (like some private practices), you can cancel your sessions AT ANY TIME and without explanation. However, if you simply don’t show up to an already scheduled session without first cancelling 24-hours in advance, you will still be charged for that session.
If you decide to stop showing up and miss three scheduled sessions without cancelling each one 24-hours prior, you will still be charged for each one.
If you miss 3 consecutive sessions without contacting us or we cannot get ahold of you for 30 days, we will assume you no longer wish to be engaged in treatment, thus terminating your case. You will have to wait 30 days to re-enroll in services.
With that said, it is best practice to call us and let us know what is going on or at least that you no longer wish to continue treatment.
We are happy to offer referrals that may better suit your needs and/or help you transition to a different practice. We can also help you safety plan if you are choosing to take a step back from therapy for a while.
Either way, please communicate with us in one way or another.

We ask that you cancel sessions at least 24 hours in advance of your session time. This allows us to fill that spot with someone else who may be needing a session.
If cancelled day-of, you will be charged for the full session fee out-of-pocket as insurance does not reimburse for missed appointments. It will be your full responsibility to pay the missed session fee. This INCLUDES illness or accidents. Why? 1. Because we do not require doctor excuses to validate missed sessions and clients have used illness as an excuse to get out of the 24-hour notice policy for non-illness related things and 2. The most important: we want you to be consistent in your treatment. You are learning new skills and developing new habits. It is so important to maintain consistency, just as though you are working out at the gym. Consistency is key!
If you are going on vacation or are going to miss a few weeks or a few months and you know ahead of time, please let us know so we can set up check-in phone calls to make sure we are staying on track with treatment. These are free phone calls just to help prevent backsliding into maladaptive behaviors.
Sometimes we schedule a few sessions within the month or create reoccurring sessions on the calendar. If you no longer wish to receive services, please let us know - do not just stop showing up and ghost us - because if sessions are scheduled and not cancelled within 24 hours, you will be charged for those sessions out-of-pocket up to three missed sessions before your case is terminated.
Communication! Communication! Communication! Many things can be worked around…
